How B-Better raises the energy at The Independent Schools Show

It’s not often you’d associate what we do with a trade show, but this event seems too special to miss!
The Indpendent Schools Show (ISS) is an annual event championing all the greatest facets of public schooling. Through talks, panel discussions, meetings with heads of school and (our favourite) participatory actvities, parents and prospective students can gain a real sense of the next step of their educational lives.
This year we’ve been asked to attend and are extremely energised to add a dimension to the show with our new partners:

Young England Kindergarten – The Nursery Pavillion
For the first time ever, ISS will be dedicating a section of the show to early years called The Nursery Pavillion. Our partners, Young England Kindergarten, are featured alongside 3 other organisations who all offer something unique to the show.
B-Better will be leading dance workshops, on the hour, for all ages across the 2 day event on November 8th & 9th. Here’s why you should stop by if you’re visiting the show:
- Classes are open to all ages and abilities so no need to be shy
- There are a number of sessions on each day, so there’s a good chance you’ll be able to participate (timetable below)
- The health benefits of dance are well documented and a few minutes of invigoration are sure to make the experience at the show a more well-rounded experience. We know the days can be long!
- Deepen your connection with your child by joining them for the workshop
- We’re right next to a café so you’ll have somewhere to rehydrate afterwards
- Speak with us about all things dance-related, including Breaking at the Olympics
Friday 8th – 18:45, 19:45
Saturday 9th – 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00
We also hope to meet other exhibiting schools at the show, because we have something for the bigger kids too..
Inter-school dance
In the forthcoming Summer term, we’ll be hosting our second Inter-schools dance battle, Catch the Flava. We’re looking to develop other Greater London Prep and Secondary schools to participate in our event, and are energised to meet a few forward-thinking schools at the Independent Schools Show.
We’re proud to list not only Young England Kindergarten among our partners but also Thomas’s London Day Schools, Collège Français Bilingue de Londres and Trinity Laban Conservatoire among organisations we work closely with. In fact, Principle of Thomas’s Battersea, Ben Thomas, will be giving a presentation at the show, so it’s good feelings all round!

Tickets are free!
As mentioned, tickets to the event are free so if you’d like to come and join B-Better at the Indpendent Schools Show, it’s the perfect opportunity.
Email us at contact@b-better.org.uk with any questions and we look forward meeting you at the event!
